Onwards into 2020 with GMi!

The new decade has arrived, 2020 has landed and things are looking good into the future for the team here at GMi.

2019 was a great year for GMi with the team travelling all over our great state filming productions in places like Albany, Broome, Shark Bay and Esperance, as well as our usual haunts around the SouthWest and Perth.

eLearning was a major part of our 2019, and that is showing no signs of slowing down in 2020 as we expand our eLearning content into Articulate as well as Captivate (the two most popular systems for eLearning).

2020 will also see a swathe of new kit for our camera line up, so keep your eyes peeled next time you see us out filming! The boys are itching to get their hands on the new gear!

So let GMi help you with your production in 2020! Whether it’s an E-Learning or 360/VR package, Animation, Safety/Training or Promotional Videos, or perhaps a Short Documentary about a particular construction or environmental project.

So whatever your production is, drop us a line and we can make it a reality.

Flying high with GMi – Drone shoots with Southern Ports

The crew here at Geo Media interactive (GMi) have been out and about throughout the Southwest and Great Southern flying drones for the Southern Port Authority (SPA). We always enjoy capturing drone footage, and we pride ourselves on working quickly and safely when flying. If you would like to know more on how GMi can help you with your next video project, be it on the ground or above it drop us a line. So come fly with us, we would love to hear from you!

Aboriginal Health Television Launch (AHTV)

GEO Media interactive (GMi) is proud to have been able to assist in the national launch of the Aboriginal Health Television (AHTV) network last week.

AHTV is the world’s first Indigenous exclusively health-focussed television network and delivers important health messages and culturally relevant content through Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations across Australia.

AHTVs content is developed in partnership with local Aboriginal health services and producers who specialise in Indigenous content to ensure it is culturally relevant and engaging for audiences.

GMi was on hand to record the launch and help get the story out to the media. The story was picked up and reported on by over 20 media outlets here in Australia and overseas. The launch of AHTV was at the South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) located here in Bunbury, WA.

DFES and Peaceful Bay the GMi Way!

Last Friday saw GMi taking a quick trip down to Peaceful Bay in our states beautiful Great Southern Region to do a shoot for the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES).

The shoot was about recognizing the efforts of the Peaceful Bay Sea Rescue Group in a dramatic sea rescue operation over two days that they performed earlier in the year. The shoot was a lot of fun and Mark is looking forward to getting back into the both the Great Southern and the Southwest to further expand our library of drone vision!

South32 Worsley Alumina Animation Project

The team at GMi have been doing more animated production! This time it’s a training video for the South32 operation Worsley Alumina.

As usual we can’t show the clips made for our industry clients but we can show an example piece of the artwork used. This production incorporated animation, 4k drone and traditional video and interviews together and it was a pleasure to be back working with South32 again!

Recycling is the Key!

The boys at GMi have been working closely with the City of Bunbury on a number of projects recently and our latest video continues that trend! The latest production is an animated educational video showing what can and can’t be placed inside each of the three kerbside pickup bins the City of Bunbury provides. These bins are the FOGO Bin (green lid – food and garden waste), Recycling Bin (yellow lid – recyclable materials), and the Landfill Bin (red lid – everything else).

Check out the video!
